Terminal velocity is when you’ve reached the point that you cannot fall any faster as opposed to the medium you’re falling through —   — when the air around you gets real . So thick it’s just like you’re standing with your feet back on the ground. I titled my first book Life’s a JOKE! (now out-of-print) on the premise that you can prevent yourself from negatively affecting your experience by first taking things as a joke and working from there. But there is a big difference between taking things lightly and playing too much! I was working as an EMT in Florida when I parked the ambulance curbside at the bus station. The call had come in as an eighteen-year-old-male that had his throat slit.  Sheldrake’s Bibliography Image Courtesy Pixabay I’m certain that I am not the first person to point out the importance of referencing the places we obtain the unique pieces of information contained within the art we lay down on paper. In fact, because it is art that we are creating when we write, we can often throw our pen back over our shoulder when we’re finished and put our hands up in exuberance at a job well-done, rather than hold onto our pen or brush while we reflect on whom and what it was that brought that particular creative piece to light. I was both disappointed and humbled when I finished reading Merlin Sheldrake’s Entangled Life . I have to admit that my eyes may never fully dance across the entirety of the volume and sorely it may never be totally consumed, unless I eat it ( like he himself did ), because two thirds the way through he begins his bibliography. I say I am both disappointed and humbled because I was sad his dialogue ended before my appetite abated...

It was right around the time that The Secret came out, and What the Bleep-Down the Rabbit Hole , and such things… I really enjoyed that movie twice, and I don’t watch movies twice. Well, except Frozen, but that was forced, over, over, and over again. Another one I watched twice was Pontypool . They both had this meditative zeal. The kinda feel like, if you were alone and had real time to just relax, but not waste, then that was it. They were the kind of movies that you could just listen to without the film even. But the film made it better. I’ve never looked to see if those were based on books because, if they were, they had to have been mostly dialogue. But man, they kept you attentive. A philosopher, a politic, and a scientist walk around discussing the exact thing they are on vacation retreating...
